EDUCATION

YOUTH

Our youth gather on Sunday after worship to study and share together. They are following the Think Orange curriculum. Our youth also engage in service projects and try to make a meaningful and life-changing contribution to our wider community. Once a year they go on retreat to Cedarkirk and enjoy mission work and fellowship.

The Wired Word

The Wired Word – Faith Meets the News

Our world is going through times of difficulty, and we may wonder how our faith connects to what is happening.

The Wired Word is a discussion-based adult class that tries to let the Bible shine a light on current events and lead us into meaningful conversation about how we respond as people of faith.

Join us, either in person or online, on Sundays at 9.00am in the Faith Center as we prayerfully discuss God’s word for us today.

TUESDAYS TOGETHER

Several times a year, Tuesday Together is a program which offers a wonderful opportunity to share a meal together and to grow our faith.

Tuesdays Together usually runs for four weeks at a time. We meet at 5.30pm for a potluck supper and then we gather to learn, discuss and grow in our faith.

Some of the themes for these programs have been:

  • — Elephants in the Room……talking about issues we usually avoid in church.
  • — The Gospel According to……. where we find faith in the world
  • — Faith in Action………what does it mean to put our faith into action in meaningful ways.

Children

Our children are in worship for the first part of the service. During worship there is a Time for Young Disciples when they are invited to join the pastor at the front of the sanctuary for a short, interactive lesson.

After this time, our children go to Sunday School where their teachers and volunteers help them grow in their faith, answer their questions and show them God’s love.

We follow the Think Orange curriculum and after their time in Sunday School the children join their parents for snacks in Fellowship Hall.
