We Care Food Ministry

WE CARE is a food ministry program supported by the congregation of Faith Presbyterian Church since l98O. The program’s primary objective is to supply basic food items to individuals and families in Lee County who find themselves in personal distress. These people are served regardless of religious affiliation. Food is sorted and packed on Tuesdays and distributed every Friday morning. In the “Faith Weekly Forum” we advertise for specific items that are needed in the food pantry. Both food and monetary contributions are gratefully accepted at any time. Bulk shopping is purchased from Harry Chapin Food Bank and Midwest Food Bank while other food is purchased at local grocery stores.

Faith in Action

In response to the growing poverty crisis in our country, members of Faith created the Faith in Action mission in 2025 with the goal of helping our neighbors in Cape Coral. A summer food drive in support of the Cape Coral Caring Center’s Healthy, Not Hungry kids program and a hygiene kit project for the Cape Coral police department’s Advocate for the Homeless program were some of the first efforts.

Misión Peniel

Since 2006, Misión Peniel has offered food, clothing, fellowship, and emergency support to farmworkers residing in Immokalee, while advocating for improved living and working conditions in one of the poorest communities in the nation. Misión Peniel is a covenant ministry of Peace River Presbytery and the Presbyterian Church (USA). Faith Presbyterian Church is grateful to support its ministries thru annual diaper drives, quarterly work trips, and the Christmas Angel tree. Learn more about Misión Peniel.

Habitat For Humanity

Since 1982, Habitat of Lee & Hendry Counties has built more than 1,800 homes, repaired over 350 homes and counseled more than 2,300 families to achieve their housing and financial goals. Faith Presbyterian Church has partnered with Habitat for nearly 30 years, by volunteering in the warehouse and on the job site and by providing financial support. Each week a team of Faith volunteers heads out to hammer, cut trim, hang doors and paint a new home alongside future homeowners. Learn more about Habitat for Humanity.
